Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

The Bloomfield Bobcats came up short against Tournament Opponent on Saturday and fell 8-3.

Gavin Pecotte was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Blake Spencer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Coming up, Bloomfield will square off against Jemez Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jemez Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something Bloomfield will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tournament Opponent, they will take on Stillwater in a tournament on Thursday.
