Volleyball Recap: Birchwood Takes a Loss

Birchwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Winter Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-15.

Caiden Lindemans paced Birchwood's offense, picking up six kills. Lindemans got some help from Alyiah Glaze and her ten assists. Lindemans was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Birchwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Winter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Birchwood will head out to challenge Bruce at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Winter, they will venture away from home to square off against Shell Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
