Volleyball Recap: John Henry Starts off Right with Win over Wilson Prep

John Henry had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Wilson Prep Golden Eagles 3-2. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles on Friday, too.

John Henry was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-98), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 15-6.

Wilson Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Henry will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on KIPP King at 5:00 p.m. on October 15. As for Wilson Prep, they will challenge Bay Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
