Basketball Game Preview: Bethesda Christian Lions vs. Mercy Culture Prep Royals

The Bethesda Christian Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Mercy Culture Prep Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bethesda Christian will be strutting in after a win while Mercy Culture Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

Bethesda Christian took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Victory Baptist Academy 31-29. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Mercy Culture Prep came up short against Victory Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling 67-42. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1262nd, while the Patriots are ranked 614th).

Bethesda Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Mercy Culture Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Everything came up roses for Bethesda Christian against Mercy Culture Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 63-34 victory.
