Basketball Recap: Canton South Takes a Loss

Canton South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marlington Dukes. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly five points.

Canton South's record is now 8-11. As for Marlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canton South will head out to square off against Carrollton at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrollton will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Canton South surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marlington, they will challenge Garfield Community Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
