Baseball Game Preview: Southwest Guilford Cowboys vs. Ragsdale Tigers

The Southwest Guilford Cowboys will take on the Ragsdale Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Southwest Guilford 2.4, Ragsdale 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Southwest Guilford needed a bit of extra time to put away Grimsley. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Whirlies, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Whirlies: they've now won three in a row.

Southwest Guilford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Lovett, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Ragsdale earned a 7-2 win over Northwest Guilford on Friday.

Ragsdale's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Southwest Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Southwest Guilford beat Ragsdale 9-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
