Volleyball Recap: Belvidere North Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Belvidere North had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Boylan Catholic Titans. This was a revenge game for the Blue Thunder: when they faced off against the Titans back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Belvidere North not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Boylan Catholic to exactly 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gwendoyn Tsaras, who had 12 digs and three assists. Another player making a difference was Caroline Korcek, who had eight digs.

Belvidere North's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Boylan Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-11.

Belvidere North and Boylan Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Blue Thunder will square off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (295 vs. 627). Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic (ranked 261st) will meet Belvidere (ranked 575th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
