Basketball Game Preview: Central Heights Vikings vs. Oswego Indians

The Central Heights Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Oswego Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Central Heights came up short against West Franklin and fell 36-25.

Meanwhile, Oswego made easy work of Northeast on Friday and carried off a 45-25 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Oswego's win came from a few key players Central Heights will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaycee Schulz, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and six assists. She also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Oswego is 7-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kodi Trimble, who on her way to 18 points and three steals.

Oswego is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. Central Heights' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Central Heights came up short against Oswego when the teams last played back in January of 2016, falling 37-27. Can Central Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
