The Patrick Henry Academy Patriots will head out to challenge the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Patrick Henry Academy has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Colleton Prep Academy will arrive with five straight victories.
Patrick Henry Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Thomas Heyward Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Patriots took a blow against the Rebels, falling 47-14. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
Despite the loss, Patrick Henry Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kai Sobey rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Sobey's longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Rylin Brunson, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, while Colleton Prep Academy put up plenty of points back in September, the same can't be said for Clarendon Hall. The War Hawks blew past the Saints, posting a 56-0 win. The result was nothing new for the War Hawks, who have now won three games by 36 points or more so far this season.
A big part of Colleton Prep Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Cale Owens and his top target Thomas Corbett. Owens threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes while Corbett picked up 205 receiving yards and three scores. The dominant performance also gave Owens a new career-high in passer rating (158.6).
Patrick Henry Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Colleton Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Patrick Henry Academy came up short against Colleton Prep Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 30-19. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Owens, who threw for 211 yards and three TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 121 yards.
