Basketball Recap: La Puente Takes a Loss

La Puente lost against South El Monte back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The La Puente Warriors lost 61-40 to the South El Monte Eagles. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

La Puente's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for South El Monte, they moved to 3-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Puente will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pomona at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. La Puente is facing Pomona at the right time seeing as Pomona is stuck on a five-game losing streak. After both having extra time off, South El Monte and Gabrielino will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Gabrielino will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something South El Monte surely won't give up without a fight.
