Softball Recap: Cox Mill Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Cox Mill's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Lake Norman Wildcats on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lake Norman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Coming up, Cox Mill will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cox Mill is facing Olympic at the right time seeing as Olympic is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Lake Norman, they will head out on the road to face off against Davie at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Davie's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Lake Norman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
