North Summit had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by the North Sevier Wolves to the tune of 47-6 on Friday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 20 points or more this season.
North Summit had a senior duo take command as Mckade Nelson rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries and Jake Smith rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Another big playmaker for North Summit was Austin Aven, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Summit was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 196 rushing yards in 11 consecutive contests.
