It was a proper cat-fight when Lower Cape May faced off against Atlantic Christian on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 7-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Drew Kronemeyer, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Matt DiCave was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Lower Cape May's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-15. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Atlantic Christian, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Lower Cape May will face off against Wildwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Atlantic Christian, they will welcome Gloucester County Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
