Basketball Recap: Math Science & Engineering Comes Up Short

Math Science & Engineering were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 43-38 to Young Women's Leadership. While losing is never fun, Math Science & Engineering can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Young Women's Leadership is ranked 75th).

Math Science & Engineering has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Young Women's Leadership, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Math Science & Engineering does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Young Women's Leadership, they will head out to face off against Thomas Jefferson Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
