Baseball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West lost against Maryville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rebels fell just short of the Red Rebels by a score of 6-5.

West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Stenstrom, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. Another was Xan Scheidecker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Maryville, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will take on Maryville Christian in a tournament on Friday. As for Maryville, they will square off against South-Doyle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cherokees will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Red Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
