Baseball Recap: New Brockton Beats Straughn for Their Third Straight Victory

New Brockton barely beat Straughn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gamecocks were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Tigers on Friday. Considering the Gamecocks have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for New Brockton, bringing their record up to 11-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Straughn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

New Brockton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
