After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Clifton brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They blew past the Kennedy Knights 13-1 on Monday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Justin Cabrera (11) and Trevor Rascher did most of the damage at the plate: Cabrera (11) scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Rascher went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that Cabrera (11) scored this season. Another player making a difference was Josangel Cruz, who scored three runs while going 1-for-1.

Clifton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Clifton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
