After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Sabetha finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 21-1 to the Holton Wildcats. The Bluejays' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Sabetha saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erin Boltz, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Sabetha's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Holton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sabetha will challenge rival Nemaha Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holton is set to face off against their familiar foe Perry-Lecompton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
