Basketball Game Preview: Klein Bearkats vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes

The Klein Bearkats will challenge the Klein Cain Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Klein will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Klein didn't have too much trouble with Magnolia as they won 65-49. Given the Bearkats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 789th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Klein Cain). They blew past Magnolia West, posting an 80-48 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hurricanes as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Klein is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Klein Cain, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-21.

Klein didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Klein Cain when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win. Does Klein have another victory up their sleeve, or will Klein Cain turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
