The Granite Hills Eagles will challenge the Point Loma Fighting Pointers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Granite Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Granite Hills made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cathedral Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Dons by a score of 8-6 on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Eagles have let down their home crowd.

Granite Hills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Macias, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Macias' first of the season. Preston Hendry was another, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Point Loma didn't have quite enough to beat Eastlake on Friday and fell 7-6.

Hunter Reddeg made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Ice, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Point Loma suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-3-1. As for Granite Hills, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 6-2.

Granite Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Point Loma when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
