Recap: Orem Tigers vs. Cedar Valley Aviators
The Orem Tigers were the 42-33 winner over the Cedar Valley Aviators when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Orem was outmatched by Cedar Valley on the road and fell 64-34. Orem's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it five in a row.
Cedar Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hadley Whiting, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Whiting hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Gabrielle Hudson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 steals.
Orem's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cedar Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orem will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Wasatch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. As for Cedar Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Timpanogos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timpanogos is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
