Baseball Recap: Basha Takes a Loss

After flying high against Higley last Wednesday, Basha came back down to earth. Basha took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Queen Creek Bulldogs on Monday. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Zach Bolles was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Basha is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2-1 otherwise.

Basha suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-3-1. As for Queen Creek, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Basha has already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Desert Vista on the 19th. As for Queen Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 16-6 loss against Perry on the 20th.
