After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Red Oak brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Kaufman Lions on Friday. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Lions are ranked 795th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Red Oak's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Kaufman, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Red Oak will challenge Midlothian Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kaufman, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Kaufman duke it out with the Corsicana at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsicana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
