Patrick County won the last time they faced Floyd County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars skirted past the Buffaloes 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Patrick County's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Floyd County, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Patrick County will face off against rival Alleghany at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Floyd County is set to take on their familiar foe Carroll County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
