Adams County Christian took down Central Private 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Matthew Rymer ran for 63 yards during the win.
Prentiss Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,720 from 13,238. The improvement was the result of 12-7 victory over Ben's Ford Christian last week.
Brookhaven Academy's dynamic duo of Heath Hickman and Steven Williams proved to be unstoppable against Bowling Green, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hickman threw for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns and Williams had 91 yards receiving. Ross Foreman helped Brookhaven Academy's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 86 yards.
The Cougars' dynamic duo of Hickman and Williams proved tough for the Buccaneers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Hickman put up the best numbers in passing as Brookhaven Academy fell to Bowling Green.
Williams was the best receiver in MAIS AA District 5 this week as Tripp McCarty's team fell to the Buccaneers.
He was 23-36 with 0 interceptions.
Tanner Hathorn was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 100 yards as the Saints fell to Bowling Green. Tyler Shivers also contributed to the rushing game with 44 yards on the ground.
Brookhaven Academy's Hickman and Williams have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Hickman has thrown for 625 yards this season, while Williams has 13 catches for 189 yards. The Rebels' Torrey Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 237.
At the moment, the Cougars are in third, while Amite is in fourth.
