Football Game Preview: Springville Orioles vs. Central City Wildcats

Springville and Central City are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Orioles will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Springville has four straight victories, Central City has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Springville will bounce into Friday's contest after beating WACO, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Orioles enjoyed a cozy 52-33 win over the Warriors on Friday. The Orioles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Central City ended up a good deal behind Kee on Friday and lost 52-36.

Central City's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Springville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Springville took a serious blow against Central City in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 44-14. Thankfully for the Orioles, Matt Klostermann (who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
