Ascent Classical Academy extended their winning streak to 11 on Thursday, bumping them up to 16-3. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves. The Guardians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Keirian Barnett paced Ascent Classical Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Barnett got some help from Madeline McCarthy and her 12 assists. Barnett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since September 8th.

Despite the loss, Twin Peaks Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ari Esch had 14 digs. Esch has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ascent Classical Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Two Roads Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Twin Peaks Classical Academy will square off against rival Loveland Classical at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
