Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Louisville). They walked away with a 14-10 victory over the Winona Tigers on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three games in a row.

Mitchell Turner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Ammons, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Chunsi Miller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Louisville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .571 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Louisville pushed their record up to 4-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Winona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisville will head out to challenge Greenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winona, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Winona Tigers duke it out with Amanda Elzy Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
