Basketball Recap: Goshen Comes Up Short

Goshen lost against Warsaw back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goshen RedHawks came up short against the Warsaw Tigers, falling 62-42. While losing is never fun, the RedHawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Tigers are ranked 23rd).

Despite the loss, Goshen still got an impressive performance from Damarian Axell, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Cline, who posted nine points.

Goshen's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Warsaw, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Goshen has already played their next match (against NorthWood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Warsaw has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Concord.
