Baseball Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Triumphs

Lee-Scott Academy posted their closest win since February 17th on Thursday. They skirted past the Opelika Bulldogs 6-4.

Lee-Scott Academy got a great performance from Braden Martin as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Those hits marked the first that Martin allowed this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Donaldson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Smith Harkins, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Lee-Scott Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Opelika, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee-Scott Academy will challenge Marbury at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Opelika, they will take on Elberta at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
