Soccer Recap: Limestone's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Limestone was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against the Dunlap Eagles, falling 4-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Limestone of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Limestone was without their leading scorer, Joey Shields, in Tuesday's contest. With Shields sitting this one out, Ben Subbert got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 23.3).

Limestone moved to 6-2-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Dunlap, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Limestone will be up against Orion/Sherrard's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.6 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dunlap, they will head out on the road to challenge East Moline United at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
