Volleyball Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Boulder City Eagles + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Basic Wolves and the Boulder City Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Basic was able to grind out a solid win over Legacy, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now won four in a row.

Basic was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 26-28, 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Boulder City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Pahrump Valley by a score of 3-1 last Wednesday.

Boulder City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Basic's record is now 6-9. As for Boulder City, their record now sits at 7-9.

Basic suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Boulder City when the teams last played back in August of 2022. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
