Soccer Game Preview: Edmeston Central vs. Franklin Central

The Edmeston Central Panthers will take on the Franklin Central Purple Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmeston Central's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Edmeston Central is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Milford Central just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Franklin Central was able to grind out a solid win over Sharon Springs Central on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1. Shannon Kingsbury had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Franklin Central.

Franklin Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Edmeston Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Edmeston Central skirted past Franklin Central 2-1 in their previous matchup on Tuesday. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Purple Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
