Baseball Recap: Pendleton County Victorious

Pendleton County never got on the board in their matchup last Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bellevue on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Bellevue Tigers. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Carter Glahn was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Glahn wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Frisch, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Frisch a new career-high in RBI (three).

The win got Pendleton County back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton County will host Bishop Brossart at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bellevue, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Bellevue Tigers take on Walton-Verona Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
