Baseball Game Preview: Timber Creek Wolves vs. Hagerty Huskies

The Timber Creek Wolves will take on the Hagerty Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timber Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Hagerty's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Timber Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Winter Park 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Hunter Wieckowski tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sebastian Hurtado, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Hagerty never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Boone on Tuesday. They blew past the Braves 10-4. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

B. Levy was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was M. Murray Jr., who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Timber Creek's record is now 18-8. As for Hagerty, their record now sits at 22-3-1.

Timber Creek couldn't quite get it done against Hagerty in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 as they fell 7-4. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
