Volleyball Recap: Sexton Comes Up Short

Sexton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds, falling 3-0. The Big Reds were not able to make up for their loss to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-6, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Abi Pratt, who had eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Delaney Collins also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Sexton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Eaton Rapids, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7-4 record this season.

Sexton has already played their next matchup (against Everett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Eaton Rapids, they will face off against Ovid-Elsie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
