Basketball Game Preview: Galeton Tigers vs. Coudersport Falcons

Galeton hasn't had much luck against Coudersport recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Galeton Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Coudersport Falcons at 1:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Galeton is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 33rd straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They were beaten by Northern Potter 53-9. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 654th, while the Panthers are ranked 220th).

Lynlee Basile was Galeton's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Meanwhile, Coudersport came up short against Otto-Eldred on Thursday and fell 36-23. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Galeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Coudersport, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Galeton took a serious blow against Coudersport when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 69-12. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Galeton was down 47-10.
