Baseball Game Preview: Greene County Wildcats vs. Forest Bearcats

For the second straight game, Greene County will face off against Forest. The Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Bearcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greene County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Greene County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Forest. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Cole Helton and Zaine Moody did most of the damage at the plate: Helton went 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs, while Moody went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Moody has posted since back in March. Cameron Kelly also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Greene County's victory bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 19 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.
