Soccer Recap: Lake Howell Comes Up Short

Lake Howell lost against Lake Mary back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lake Howell Silverhawks lost 8-0 to the Lake Mary Rams. While losing is never fun, the Silverhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Rams are ranked 18th).

Lake Howell dropped their record down to 4-5-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lake Mary, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-2 record this season.

Lake Howell will take on Lake Brantley in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Mary, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Lake Nona on the 13th.
