Basketball Recap: Crete-Monee's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Crete-Monee won the last time they faced Thornridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Crete-Monee Warriors walked away with a 57-50 win over the Thornridge Falcons. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Falcons are ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crete-Monee's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Thornridge, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Crete-Monee has already played their next contest (against Brother Rice), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Thornridge will head out on the road to take on Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
