Baseball Recap: Campbell Hall Takes a Loss

Campbell Hall lost against Windward back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Campbell Hall Vikings fell just short of the Windward Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Kyle Weaver was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Roman Ochoa was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jared Page, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Campbell Hall's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Windward, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Campbell Hall will be playing at home against Grant at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant's pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so Campbell Hall's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Windward, they will challenge Viewpoint at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windward is facing Viewpoint at the right time seeing as Viewpoint is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
