Baseball Game Preview: Community Vikings/Viqueens vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets

Community is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will venture away from home to take on the Grundy County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Community has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Community came up short against West Vigo on Saturday, falling 11-1. The Vikings/Viqueens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Grundy County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to Huntland.

Community's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Grundy County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Community might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Grundy County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Vikings/Viqueens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
