Baseball Game Preview: Wonewoc-Center Wolves vs. Bangor Cardinals

Wonewoc-Center is 1-8 against Bangor since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wolves will host the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Wonewoc-Center has given up an average of 17 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wonewoc-Center is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 19-0 to Hillsboro. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 19 runs.

Wonewoc-Center saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Byrdy, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Bangor had taken Royall down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Cardinals fell 7-3 to the Panthers. The matchup marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bangor's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Wonewoc-Center, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Wonewoc-Center might still be hurting after the 27-0 defeat they got from Bangor in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
