Football Game Preview: Ridgeview Panthers vs. Clay Blue Devils

Ridgeview hasn't had much luck against Clay recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will head out to face off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ridgeview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were outmatched by Middleburg and fell 51-16. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Broncos are ranked 176th).

Meanwhile, Clay played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of First Coast. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Clay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Ridgeview took a serious blow against Clay in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 45-6. Thankfully for the Panthers, Lavaris Roberts (who rushed for 233 yards and one score while picking up 12.3 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
