Soccer Recap: Helix Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Helix has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Santana Sultans. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sultans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Helix's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Santana, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helix will head out to challenge Steele Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Steele Canyon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Helix surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santana, they are taking a road trip to take on Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Santana is facing Valhalla at the right time seeing as Valhalla is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
