Evan Pacheco posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for Moriarty: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-6 otherwise.
