Basketball Recap: Lake Placid's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lake Placid needed a changed in momentum after dropping 13 straight games and they got it from Seb Cecunjanin. Everything went the Lake Placid Bombers' way against the Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central Orange on Friday as the Lake Placid Bombers made off with a 61-36 win thanks in part to Cecunjanin, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 37 points and seven boards. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lake Placid's points.

Another player making a difference was Caleb Wylie, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Lake Placid's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will welcome Willsboro Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Placid at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st.
