Basketball Recap: Mandeville Comes Up Short

Mandeville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Slidell Tigers, falling 52-26. The loss continues a trend for the Skippers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Mandeville still got an impressive performance from Alanna Benoit, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Benoit has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Savannah Touchstone also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Mandeville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Slidell, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mandeville will face off against Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Slidell, they will head out to face off against Terrebonne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
