The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions will head out to challenge the Sabino Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.7 points per game this season.

On Friday, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy lost to Thatcher on the road by a 28-14 margin. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although Pusch Ridge Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Race Pinneo and Dominic Painter.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Painter, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, Sabino was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of Sahuaro. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Sabercats have suffered against the Cougars since September 6, 2019.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy fell to 5-1. As for Sabino, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Everything came up roses for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy against Sabino in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-14 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Sabercats' Zachari Haley, who rushed for 142 yards and two scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.
