Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McNair). They blew past the Grant Pacers 27-11 on Thursday. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Jazmine Enriquez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Enriquez was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Keira Dominguez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Krysti Thao also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
McNair hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive matchups.
McNair's record now sits at 4-1. As for Grant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
